Set List Report Selection

Set List Report Styles

The report selection window is accessed by selecting the plus(+) pushbutton, found next to the Print pushbutton on the
Set List form. This list offers twenty-two document designs.  The first eleven are static designs meaning that only the typeface and font style may be changed.  The five succeeding styles in red font are customizable. Fields are user selectable as is font typeface, style and alignment of text. Click the Modify pushbutton to access the design functions.

Combination Set & Master List Report

This report style labeled as MASTER LIST CUSTOM linear will generate a list of either the song inventory or currently loaded set list.  This style is designed to fit as many songs as possible on a single page.  Use the additional controls to select the song source, filter and sort options.

The remaining MASTER LIST records in black font color are static and may not be design edited in any way. You may or may not have a use for these reports.

As you scroll down to the records titled MASTER LIST or MASTER LIST CUSTOM ,  a series of additional controls will appear. Use these items to set the filter specifications, title and song source for the master list.

Illustrating the report designs

As you scroll though the list you will notice the graphic object on the right changing. These static images are intended to illustrate how a particular design looks. They do not contain real time song data.  To view the actual report with your song data, click the Preview pushbutton.

Title & Memo fields - When a set list style is selected (records 1 through 15), the disabled title and memo fields reflect the values found in the currently loaded set list. To change these values, you will need close this dialog and edit these fields from the main screen.

Default Report Assignment - The first fifteen records in the dialog contain a checkbox. To make a report the default, check mark that records box.  Doing so, enables you to print your favorite report from the set list screen by simply clicking the PRINT button.

Print & Preview - A previewed report, is displayed at 100% actual size by default. The View selection on the menu provides options for viewing at smaller or larger sizes.  To move through the pages of a preview report, use the PgUp and PgDn keys.  Note that Preview is useful for determining the number of pages to print in the event you are printing a set list report that contain blank sets.

PDF Printing - When printing a report you will be prompted with a printer dialog where you select the printer and set preferences.  Many users prefer to print to PDF and email them to their band mates.  Bandbro' is not bundled with a PDF writer.  However, you can download one for free at http://www.CutePDF.com. It works well but does open the pdf after it is generated. You will need to locate it and open it manually.  Note: The initial printing of a pdf may have formatting problems. If this appears to be the case, simply reprint it.  The second time around should be fine and all subsequent printings during the same Bandbro' session will print correctly.

When outputting a set list, you will be prompted with an intermediary dialog asking if you want to include extra songs in the footer area of the set list. These extra songs are the leftovers that were not included in the actual set list. This option is offered as a convenience and may be useful if you decide to deviate from the set list.

Blank Set Pages - This can occur when printing a 1-set-per-page report style containing less than four sets. Empty sets will print as semi-blank pages. The solution is to set the page range on the printer dialog to exclude empty sets. If printing a list containing 2 sets worth the music, you would click the PAGE RANGE radio button and type 1 and 2 in the range fields.  If printing large sets or including extra songs in the footer area of the report, you can use the on-screen preview to count the number of pages required. Use PgUp and PgDn keys to navigate between the pages.
